How to Run Paint Tool SAI on a Mac! (Pen Pressure) so since a number of people have been asking me how i got sai on my mac, and since i struggled for a looong time, i decided to write a post to help my fellow artists! So my PC crashed a couple of years ago (RIP), so I've been creating traditional artwork since then. I want to get back into the swing of digital art, but after buying a MacBook Pro, I made the rotten discovery that there is no safe or compatible Paint Tool SAI download for the Mac.
Paint tool is an industrious and small tool similar to photoshop but awsome for manga and anime images as well as other photo editing. Installation Note:
The full installer of Ver.1.2.0 or later will install SAI Ver.1 into 'C:PaintToolSAI' in default settings. You can preserve brushes, textures, swatch and license certificate through which of following way.

- Overwrite Ver.1.2.0(or later) to Ver.1.1.0 folder by installer of update files only.
- Copy all folders, *.conf files, *.ssd files, *.slc file from Ver.1.1.0 folder to Ver.1.2.0(or later) folder.
CAUTION 1:
On Windows Vista or later, please do not install SAI Ver.1 into 'Program Files' folder because SAI Ver.1 may malfunction due to UAC.
CAUTION 2:
SAI Ver.1 does not support high DPI monitors, and Windows 10 does not apply DPI scaling for SAI Ver.1. If you use SAI Ver.1 with a high DPI monitor, you have to change the screen resolution less than about 1920x1200.
CAUTION 3:
WinTab drivers for N-trig pen tablet(e.g. The WinTab driver of Microsoft Surface) does not support WinTab API specification strictly. SAI Ver.1 does not work correctly with WinTab drivers for N-trig pen tablet in the default setting.
It may work with WinTab drivers for N-trig pen tablet if you change 'TabletMouseSimulation' to 1 from 0 in 'misc.ini' in SAI's program folder.
